A few weeks ago we hiked to a waterfall in Madolenheimw. It has a name, but it is lost in the depths of my memory. It is one of many which occur as the rivers from the mountainous interior of Pohnpei (remember, one of the wettest places on earth, about 10,000mm of rain a year!) reach the coastal plains.

A hot and sticky walk, but beautifully refreshed by a swim in the cool waterfall pool. It started pouring with rain as we were leaving too, which was very pleasant.
