Kepirohi Waterfall

Kepirohi waterfall

Kepirohi Waterfall is a welcome refreshing break about a half hour drive from our house. Pohnpei is in the middle of an El Nino influenced ‘drought’ here, so the waterfall was apparently small, and quite definitely slimey. Green sludge will no doubt be appearing in wonderful places for a while to come.

Greetings travellers

After perusing your photojournalistic exploits, I expect by now you are experiencing the early symptoms of the rare but much feared malady known colloquially as "green madness", contracted when travellers from drought affected lands (such as Australia) are suddenly and continuously confronted by a dense green environment. Symptoms include continuing to see a greenish haze when ones eyes are closed, developing a taste for wheatgrass shots (while this is considered vile by non-sufferers of the condition), and anxiety/panic attacks while walking outdoors, unless armed with a machete.
Associated conditions (though not pathophysiologically related) include tinea cruris, hirsutism, post prandial somnolence and a tendency towards alcoholism.
Several anecdotes of remedy are documented in early medical literature (see "Travels of Prof. Helmut Weinglob in the Amazon", pub 1788), however these have never been verified.
I would advise intermittent relocation to less verdant environs in the event that symptoms progress.
